Get well soon

As I needed a quick get well soon card, I decided to play along with CAS(E) this Sketch again.  I love making CAS cards.  I'm way behind at making cards, so I expect there's going to be a lot more CAS cards on here.

Again there's a great sketch to follow:

Stamps: Clearly Besotted Stamps you're a hoot and many messages and Waltzing Mouse Stamps off beat backgrounds

Crackled teddy

With this card I played with some crackle paint, as I wanted a different look to what I normally do.  I must learn to become more patient waiting for the paint to crack, as I used my heat gun and it began to bubble in places, hey ho I'll remember for the next time.

Stamps: Teddy stamp from Rubbadubbadoo, Waltzingmouse Stamps text-it and say it loud
Cardstock: Core'dinations
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nesties, distress inks antique linen and brushed corduroy, distress crackle paint rock candy and wonderful metal corners from Nanny Maggie

I'm entering my cards into the following challenges this week:
Paperminutes - text as design
Totally Papercrafts Friday Challenges - metal

Clean and Simple

I've been looking at loads of different blogs recently and the C&S designs have been jumping out at me, so I thought I'd have a play.  I grabbed flourishes - scallops & dots from WaltzingMouse Stamps and I'm ashamed to say that these stamps have been neglected for over two years EEEEEKK!!!!!  I bought them at GBCE 2010, and hopefully the bag full of new stamps that I bought this year will see ink very soon!

After I took these photos I realised that I should have taken a couple of photos of all of them together instead of separatly.

Stamps: WaltzingMouse Stamps  flourishes - scallops & dots, text it, frame it and say it with style
Ink: Distress inks - broken china, tumbled glass, shaded lilac, dusty concord, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, peeled paint, shabby shutters, brushed corduroy, antique linen, worn lipstick, barn door
Accessories: Versamark, clear embossing powder, MFT die-namics butterflies, vellum and pearls.

Big thanks for looking, hugs.

Anniversary card for husband

It was our anniversary the other day and yep I did make a card for him and he got it on the day ha ha!  I really didn't know what type of card I wanted to make, but I found this gorgeous stamp Roses by Impression Obsession hidden away at the back of my stamp box and as I haven't used it before I knew this was the stamp.  It's a biggie 5.75" so it's brilliant for backgrounds.

Stamps: IC cover a card roses, Waltzingmouse Stamps sweethearts
Ink: Distress Inks tattered rose, vintage photo and brushed corduroy
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders labels 14, ribbon, paper roses, tattered angels glimmer mist latte and pearls on wire.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

It's 2011

I really don't know where last year went, but it came and went with a blink of an eye. I'm just hoping this year might go a little slower so I sit back and enjoy it!!!
Well it's a new year, so I thought I'd better change my blogging ways ..... in other words blog (before I forget how to!!) So what better way to start my blogging for this year is one of my favourite stamp companies - Verve Stamps, you just got to love 'em. I also received my parcel of goodies today (super fast delivery), so I'm sure you'll see lots more Verve on the blog.
Anyway, better get back to why I'm blogging ..... I played along with Mojo Monday fabby sketch and used my new paper pad DCWV The Linen Closet stack (it's an oldish one, but it's new to me).

Dutch Dare Challenge

I've been playing around with my new stamps (well they aren't that new anymore) Frame It from Waltzingmouse Stamps and I must say, I love the clean and simple look and it's really easy with this set. Dutch Dare Card Challenge is 'Clean and Simple' and my card ticks the box. Believe it or not, but the card is white, it's just really difficult to take decent pictures with the dull, gloomy weather we've been having here.

Accessories: Copics, frosted lace Stickles
