My time to craft

Yes I'm on a roll, only because I have loads of cards to make and I'm way behind!  It's funny, each Christmas I always say to myself, 'I will start making my Christmas cards in January' but do I start ..... no!  I'm still trying to catch up on birthday cards.  Oh well.  This card was made following the sketch over at My Time To Craft.

I've been playing with some of my new stamps from Clearly Besotted Stamps (and I think I'm in big trouble, they are VERY addictive), I love them, plus they have matching dies yippee, 'cause I'm rubbish at cutting out!.  Anyway, back to why I'm blogging after soooo long, here's two of my latest Christmas cards and I'm entering them into Clearly Besotted Stamps challenge blog (so fingers crossed I'll win 'cause there's a fabby prize).

Is spring finally around the corner?

I really hope so, things are getting a little tough here on the farm, food is getting very scarce.  Can't grumble too much, at least it's dry and the sun has his hat on.

This card is spring like and I love the stamp, it's big and cute!  I coloured her in with distress inks and loved getting back into 'painting'.

Stamp: Sugar Nellie candy heart
Paper: First Edition Paper desert blooms

Accessories:  Distress inks, Die-namics photo corners, die cut embossing stencil, lace, Prima flowers assorted pearls and gems.

Crackled teddy

With this card I played with some crackle paint, as I wanted a different look to what I normally do.  I must learn to become more patient waiting for the paint to crack, as I used my heat gun and it began to bubble in places, hey ho I'll remember for the next time.

Stamps: Teddy stamp from Rubbadubbadoo, Waltzingmouse Stamps text-it and say it loud
Cardstock: Core'dinations
Accessories: Cuttlebug, nesties, distress inks antique linen and brushed corduroy, distress crackle paint rock candy and wonderful metal corners from Nanny Maggie

I'm entering my cards into the following challenges this week:
Paperminutes - text as design
Totally Papercrafts Friday Challenges - metal
