My little Dottie died just after giving birth to her baby boy this evening. I've cried buckets over her. Martin is really upset too, and the vet (who was here helping with the birth) couldn't believe it. After the vet got the little boy out, Dottie started bleeding big time, and there was nothing the vet could do. I know it's natural on a farm, but I hate it when anything dies, it's horrible when cattle is taken to the marts to sell, but this is horrible.
Anyway, this is a picture of Dottie taken two days ago, when I was telling her what a lovely mammy she is going to be.
Oh Sian, I'm so sorry. Like you say, that is life on a farm, but I know you are so attached to your animals. You'll have to look after her baby now. Sending hugs xxx

Oh Sian - I am so sorry to hear about Dottie - poor thing. It must be very difficult for you living on a farm and getting so attached to the wonderful animals.
